Course Objectives:
- To share and learn about recent and current research in India regarding intellectual disabilities.
- To provide an overview of research methodologies.
- To discuss the research code of conduct.
- To discuss human ethics requirements.
- To develop curricula and outlines for future training workshops in India on research methodology, research code of conduct, and research ethics.
- To describe the preparation of research articles for submission to professional journals such as JPPID and JIDR and APA format requirements.

Participants, working in small groups, will be invited to contribute their expertise on curriculum design and development of future training workshops to reach the following outcomes: (1) list of presentations, (2) country report on research in disabilities in India, (3) framework for research training curricula, (4) suggestions for future IASSID Academy workshops in India.
